What buyers say
The V15 Detect Pro delivers powerful suction and long runtime thanks to two included batteries, making it a strong performer for whole-home cleaning. However, a significant portion of units arrive without the advertised wall mount and charging dock, and Dyson’s warranty system often fails to recognize the serial number, turning a premium purchase into a gamble.
Loved by buyers
- •Powerful suction that deep-cleans carpets and fine debris on hard floors
- •The second battery doubles total runtime, letting you clean a large home on one charge
Buyer concerns
- •Wall mount and charging dock are missing from the package, leaving no dedicated storage or charging solution
- •Dyson’s warranty registration and app often fail to recognize the vacuum, flagging it as a different model
- •The trigger must be held continuously, with no option to lock it on, which can strain the hand over time
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does each battery last on a single charge?+
Expect about 60 minutes of runtime per battery in eco mode, giving you up to 120 minutes total with the two included batteries. On higher power modes, runtime drops.
Is the vacuum loud?+
Owners describe it as fairly quiet, especially compared to older Dyson stick vacs. It shouldn’t disturb conversations or TV.
Does this model come with the fluffy optic laser cleaner head?+
No. The V15 Detect Pro ships with the Digital Motorbar head. You’ll need to buy the fluffy optic head separately if you want the laser dust-reveal feature.
