Shark
Shark Stratos | Corded Stick Vacuum Cleaner for Carpet & Hard Floors | Lightweight Hand Vacuum for Pet Hair with DuoClean PowerFins HairPro | Self-Cleaning Brushroll | 4 Accessories | Navy | HZ3002
Best for
This is a practical pick for homes with mostly hard floors and low-pile rugs, especially with pets, but skip it if you have thick wall-to-wall carpet or heavy area rugs.
What buyers say
Most owners agree this Shark stick vac delivers serious suction on hard floors and low-pile carpet, pulling up embedded pet hair and fine dust that other vacuums leave behind. The trade-off is that it can be too aggressive on medium- or high-pile carpet, so homes with thick rugs may find it bogs down and stops the brushroll.
Loved by buyers
- •The self-propelled action on carpet takes the work out of push-pulling, especially for larger areas.
- •Pet hair wraps onto an internal cone instead of the brushroll, making bin emptying quick and mess-free.
- •The low-profile floor head slides under most furniture, cutting down on bending and moving pieces.
Buyer concerns
- •It cannot clean medium- or high-pile carpet without triggering the brushroll stop, so it is a no-go for plush rugs.
- •The vacuum does not stand upright on its own; you will need to lean it or use a wall hook.
- •The thick power cord is stiff and somewhat unwieldy to manage during use and storage.
