Bissell
Bissell CleanView Swivel Vacuum with Triple Action Brush Roll, Swivel Steering, Extension Wand, Easy-Empty Dirt Tank, Multi-Cyclonic Suction System
Best for
Pet owners with mostly carpeted homes who want strong deep cleaning and rarely need above-floor attachments. Skip it if you frequently vacuum upholstery, stairs, or delicate surfaces and need adjustable suction.
What buyers say
Most buyers agree this vacuum delivers deep carpet cleaning and strong pet hair pickup that surprises even long-time Dyson owners. The main trade-off is that using the attachments can be frustrating because the brush roll stays active and may overheat if the vacuum leans on carpet, and there’s no suction control for delicate tasks.
Loved by buyers
- •Pulls up embedded dirt and hair that other vacuums miss, leaving carpets visibly refreshed.
- •Swivels easily around furniture and corners, making it feel lighter than it is.
- •Easy-empty dirt tank and washable filters simplify routine maintenance.
Buyer concerns
- •The brush roll keeps spinning when using attachments. If the cleaner leans forward on carpet, the friction can overheat and warp the roller.
- •No suction adjustment means it’s too aggressive for lightweight rugs, dog beds, or drapes, often pulling them in.
- •Wand attachment suction may drop or fail entirely, according to a handful of owners.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the brush roll stop when I use the wand or attachments?+
No, the brush roll continues spinning. If the vacuum leans forward onto carpet, the roller can overheat from friction and fail over time.
Can I reduce the suction for lightweight rugs or curtains?+
There is no suction control dial. You adjust cleaning power only with the carpet height setting, which requires turning the vacuum off each time.
Does the wand break down into a shorter handheld piece?+
No, the wand is one long piece, so you must use the full extension for above-floor cleaning. This can make detailed work awkward.
How does it handle pet hair on hard floors?+
It does well. The brush roll and scatter-free technology capture hair without blowing it around, and owners with multiple pets report thorough pickup.
