What buyers say
We found that most owners agree this Dyson delivers powerful carpet cleaning and genuinely effective pet hair pickup. The main trade-off: the suction can be too much for high-pile or shag rugs, and don't count on the on-board tool holder that many assume is included.
Loved by buyers
- •Powerful suction lifts embedded pet hair and leaves carpets feeling plush and refreshed
- •Ball steering maneuvers around furniture without the wrestling match of a fixed-wheel upright
- •Cleans carpet, tile, and wood floors without confusing adjustments
Buyer concerns
- •The attachment bracket is missing, so the few included tools have no on-board storage
- •Strong suction can make it hard to push on thick or shag rugs, sometimes stalling entirely
- •The vacuum is heavy, and combined with suction resistance, it tires you out for whole-house sessions
Frequently Asked Questions
What attachments come with this vacuum?+
Only a combination brush and an upholstery tool. The tool holder clip is not included, so you'll need to find another way to store them.
Can it handle high-pile or shag rugs?+
No. The strong suction often makes it too hard to push on dense rugs, and one reviewer noted it simply won't vacuum over shag.
Is there a switch to turn off the brush roll for bare floors?+
Yes, it has a dedicated brush roll control button, so you can clean tile and wood floors without scattering debris.
