Eureka
Eureka Upright Vacuum Cleaner for Carpet and Hard Floor,Powerful Vacuum with Dual Cyclone Suction,Swivel Steering,Anti-Tangle,Large Dust Cup,NEU612BL, Blue
Best for
Best for budget-minded pet owners with a mix of hard floors and low-pile carpet who want strong suction and anti-tangle convenience, but skip it if you can't risk a possible brush roll defect out of the box.
What buyers say
Owners consistently praise this vacuum for its strong, consistent suction and the anti-tangle brush roll that genuinely prevents hair wrap, saving cleanup time. The main trade-off is that some units have a defect where the brush roll stops spinning, so it's wise to test the vacuum right away and keep the return option open.
Loved by buyers
- •Suction is powerful and consistent, picking up pet hair and fine dust on carpets and hard floors without constant adjustments.
- •The anti-tangle brush roll genuinely prevents hair from wrapping, a real time-saver if you have pets or long-haired family members.
- •Swivel steering glides around furniture legs and tight corners, making it easier to clean cluttered rooms.
Buyer concerns
- •Some units arrive with a brush roll that stops spinning shortly after use, which forces a return.
- •The dust cup design traps hair and debris, so you often have to reach in and pull clumps out by hand instead of them falling out freely.
- •The storage clip for the pet turbo attachment is flimsy, so the tool frequently falls off the vacuum while you're cleaning.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I turn off the brush roll for hard floors?+
Yes, there's a switch to turn the roller brush on and off, which helps protect delicate floors and was a welcome upgrade from previous Eureka models.
Is the hose long enough to clean stairs or above-floor areas?+
The 8.2-foot hose gives you decent reach for most above-floor tasks, and the handheld portion is light enough to carry around. For very high or far spots, you might need to move the vacuum closer.
How loud is it?+
Owners generally find it quieter than many uprights, though a few mention a squeaky noise. It shouldn't drown out conversation or scare pets.
