Hoover
Hoover WindTunnel Cord Rewind Pro Bagless Vacuum Cleaner, Corded Upright Vacuum Cleaner for Carpet and Hard Floor, Multi-Cyclonic Filtration, 25ft Auto-Rewind Cord, 5-Height Adjustment
Best for
Best for pet owners in single-story homes who want deep carpet cleaning on a budget, but skip it if you need a lightweight vacuum for daily quick pickups across multiple floors.
What buyers say
The main trade-off: it’s heavier than many modern vacs, so carrying it up stairs can be a challenge.
Loved by buyers
- •Suction strong enough to lift pet hair and fine debris from carpets in one pass, even from low-pile rugs and bare floors.
- •The auto-rewind cord saves time and keeps storage tidy, snapping back in seconds with a button press.
- •Five-height adjustment switches easily between thick carpet and hard floors without bending.
Buyer concerns
- •The machine is heavy, making it tiring to carry between floors or for anyone with limited arm strength.
- •To maintain strong suction, the canister and washable filter need frequent emptying and rinsing, especially with heavy shedding.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it have a HEPA filter?+
No, it uses a washable multi-cyclonic system that captures fine dust, but it is not HEPA certified. Allergy sufferers still find it traps particles well.
How often do I need to empty the canister?+
Most owners empty it after each use, especially if they have pets. Strong suction fills the bin quickly, and frequent cleaning prevents clogs.
Can I use it on hardwood floors without scratching?+
Yes. Set the height to a setting where the brush lightly touches or clears the floor. Some users go a notch higher on bare floors to be extra safe.
Does it come with tools for stairs and furniture?+
It includes an extension wand, crevice tool, and dusting brush, which together reach ceilings, stairs, and tight spots.
