Roborock
roborock Q7 L5 Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo, 8,000Pa Suction | Upgraded from Q5 Pro, Dual Anti-Tangle System, LiDAR Navigation, No-Go Zones, Self-Charging Robotic Vacuum, White
Best for
We recommend this for busy households with pets that want daily, hands-off maintenance on hard floors and low-pile rugs, but skip it if you have thick fringed carpets or expect a mop that scrubs away dried-on stains.
What buyers say
We hear from owners that this robot vacuum does a thorough job picking up daily dirt and pet hair, with mapping that makes room-by-room cleaning simple. The trade-off we see: it handles everyday upkeep well but the mopping is more of a light wipe, and you'll still need to intervene for heavy shedding or stuck-on spills.
Loved by buyers
- •The LiDAR navigation draws accurate maps and allows sending the vacuum to specific rooms or zones, a feature budget models lack.
- •Daily pet hair and tracked-in debris get picked up consistently, even from under furniture and along edges.
- •Scheduling and remote app control genuinely reduce the mental load of floor cleaning.
Buyer concerns
- •The mop pad only applies light moisture, so dried messes or sticky spots need manual scrubbing.
- •During heavy pet shedding, the bin and brush can clog faster than expected, requiring mid-cycle emptying.
- •App glitches like failed bindings, slow loading, or tricky map editing create frustration during setup.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the battery last on a single charge?+
In real-world use on mixed flooring, it typically cleans about 90 minutes before needing to recharge, which covers most medium-sized homes in one session. The robot returns to the dock automatically if the battery gets low.
Is it quiet enough to run while we're home or working?+
Yes, several owners note it's significantly quieter than a traditional upright vacuum and can be run during the day without drowning out conversation or calls. You'll still hear it, but it's more of a background hum.
Can it avoid stairs and rugs with fringes?+
It tries to, but it's not foolproof. You can set no-go zones in the app to block off drop-offs or delicate rug edges, though some owners report the robot still nips or tumbles occasionally. For fringe-heavy rugs, we recommend using physical barriers as backup.
Does the mop attachment let you use cleaning solution?+
Officially, Roborock recommends only water or their branded solution, but the tank doesn't heat or agitate, so even with solution the mopping remains a light wipe. Deep stains will still need a manual mop.
