What buyers say
Sanitaire's SC679K scores 73% five-star as a single-purpose carpet workhorse with tool-free part swaps and a shaker bag that skips disposable filters. Belt smoke and zero above-floor tools are the tradeoffs for commercial simplicity.
Loved by buyers
- •Suction on office carpet matches a new Dyson while costing half as much to repair
- •Belt, brush roll, and bag swap out in minutes with no screwdriver needed
- •Shaker bag empties without buying paper replacements; the power cord is thick and built to last
Buyer concerns
- •Drive belts overheat and snap during long runs unless you pause to let them cool
- •No hose, wand, or crevice tool included; edges and upholstery need a second machine
- •Hard floors get a passable sweep at best since the design centers on carpet
