DEWALT
DEWALT 10 Gallon STEALTHSONIC Wet and Dry Shop Vacuum, Ultra Quiet Heavy Duty With Attachments, Powerful Outdoor Vac for Car, Garage, Workshop, Jobsite, Patio, DXV10S-QT, 5 Peak HP
Best for
This is the right pick for a garage, workshop, or car deep-clean where lowering noise matters most; skip it if you often need to snake the hose under low furniture or into tight corners without a swiveling connector.
What buyers say
Most owners agree this shop vac pulls strong, consistent suction while running quietly enough that you can hold a conversation next to it. The main compromise is a stiff, non-swiveling hose that makes tight-angle cleaning with attachments more awkward than it should be.
Loved by buyers
- •Exceptionally quiet operation compared to typical shop vacs, often described as similar to a household vacuum.
- •Powerful, clog-free suction that handles fine dust, pet hair, and larger debris like wood chips without losing strength.
- •Smooth-rolling wheels and a comfortable, balanced top handle make it easy to steer around a garage or car.
Buyer concerns
- •The hose is stiff and lacks a swivel at the connection, so attachments resist turning and can bind up in tight spots.
- •The 10-foot cord and 7-foot hose leave some owners wishing for more reach without an extension cord.
- •The included plastic attachments feel lightweight and less durable than the rest of the vacuum.
Frequently Asked Questions
How quiet is the Dewalt Stealthsonic compared to a standard shop vac?+
It is noticeably quieter. Owners say you can carry on a conversation while it runs, and it is closer to the sound level of a household upright vacuum than a traditional shop vac.
Does the hose swivel where it attaches to the vacuum or to the tools?+
No, the hose end does not rotate. This can limit how the attachments turn when you are cleaning angled surfaces or reaching into a car interior.
What is the total cleaning reach from the electrical outlet?+
You get roughly 17 feet of combined reach from the 10-foot cord, 7-foot hose, and two extension wands, enough for most two-car garages without unplugging.
Can this vacuum reliably handle wet pickups?+
Yes, it includes a foam filter for wet use and a built-in drain port. Suction stays strong as the tank fills with water.
Does it come with a tool for cleaning car seats and crevices?+
Yes, a dedicated car nozzle is part of the included accessory kit, along with a round brush, utility nozzle, and floor brush.
