Kenmore
Kenmore DU4080 Featherlite Lift-Up Bagless Upright Vacuum 2-Motor Power Suction Lightweight Carpet Cleaner with HEPA Filter, 2 Cleaning Tools for Pet Hair, Hard Floor, Orange
Best for
Best for pet owners and allergy sufferers with a mix of carpets and hard floors who want strong suction and a lift-away pod for stairs, but skip it if you have a vast open floor plan or want a vacuum that rarely needs brushroll maintenance.
What buyers say
Most owners find this vacuum delivers powerful suction and effective allergen filtration across carpets and hard floors, with a lightweight, easy-to-steer design. The trade-off is that its brushroll and hose may require more frequent maintenance, and long-term reliability can be inconsistent.
Loved by buyers
- •Strong suction pulls up deep carpet dirt and pet hair that other vacuums leave behind.
- •Lift-away canister simplifies cleaning stairs and upholstery.
- •Swivel steering and bright LED headlight make it easy to navigate around furniture and into dim corners.
Buyer concerns
- •Brushroll can seize due to hair wrap, and the plastic housing makes cleaning difficult.
- •Replacement parts, like the brushroll, may be backordered for months.
- •The cleaning path is narrower than bulkier uprights, so large open areas take longer.
Frequently Asked Questions
How heavy is it really?+
It weighs just under 12 pounds, so most people can carry it easily, though some find the removable canister a bit heavy for handheld use.
Is it quiet enough for a baby sleeping?+
It runs relatively quietly, making less noise than many uprights, and shouldn't disturb sleep.
How long is the power cord?+
The cord reaches across most standard rooms, but in larger spaces you may need to plug into a different outlet.
Can it transition from carpet to hard floor automatically?+
Yes, it automatically stops the brush roll when you switch to bare floor mode, preventing scatter and protecting hard surfaces.
